incident at Wilderness 2nd August

I have been contacted by one of our Committee members to inform you all of a irresponsible incident that occurred at peg 5 at our Wilderness lake on Tuesday 02/08/22, that area was fished, possibly all night by someone who while there lit a fire. We have all seen the devastation of late due to a fire getting out of hand due to the dry conditions, it is against our rules to light fires, BBQ’s etc. any one seen doing so will have their membership withdrawn.

Secondly same person used the back of peg 5 as a toilet. It is not known whether the person responsible is a member of our club or was he poaching. Could everyone be vigilant when visiting our waters and phone our Committee members ASAP. Les Eggleton on 07746 960209 Roy Hurley 07540 350334 Ray Preston 07495565714

Les informed me today he also found a a sack full of rubbish stuffed in the bushes, all members are reminded to take your rubbish home, although on this occasion it’s obvious that the person who night fished peg 5 was responsible.

Spare a thought for Les who today had to clear peg 5 of said rubbish !

Would all club bailiffs please make regular evening visits to our Little Rowfant waters this would be greatly appreciated by your Committee
